You think your schedule is tight now ...

If you think you're having trouble getting everything done now within your 24-hour day - even to the point of giving up on or reducing the amount of sleep you need or should have - just wait until tomorrow (except in Arizona and maybe a couple of other places). That's right, tomorrow, they take away an hour. So if 24-hours are not enough to get everything done, try doing it in 23. After a few days it will seem like 24-hours again, but there still will be an hour missing from your day.

Since we only had standard time during November, December, January, and February, why do we need it at all? Let's just keep the same time all year.

Hi Steve~ I am actually happy it is being changed!  I like the extra hour of daylight!  But, you are right, sometimes there just isn't enough time in a day to get things done and tonight we do lose a hour!

I too welcome day light savings time.  It is a sure sign of spring and the start of real estate season...

Time is filled with swift transition.  My sister lives in Flagstaff and they are always hard to figure out.  Lol.

I like the extra hour of daylight also... but I do think one time across the country is the way to go

Steve:  The extra hour of daylight is supposed to be big energy saver.  Less electricity use is the reason why I think they have bumped it up in starting, and back in falling.

Vickie,

I think we should set ahead and be done with it, no more letters after the time or anything ("S" or "D"). :)

Heath,

I don't know how Arizona slipped through - the whole country was supposed be on daylight time (Hawaii doesn't change either). :)

Bob,

Thank you. That's 2 votes for no more time changes. :)

Chris Ann,

It's a nice thought but people need more lights in the morning so it's a wash. :)

Andrew,

Our area doesn't vary that much in extended daylight, but areas really get a big boost of sunshine. :)

Hi Steve,

I really enjoy daylight savings actually! I hope I'm not rocking the boat on the previous AR members who left comments!

Have a great weekend!

Michael,

Everyone seems to be in agreement on daylight savings time - I just suggested we keep the hour and not go back in the fall. :)

Hi Steve

Wow I'll lose an hour work tomorrow, but I'll get though it, I'm looking forward to the extra hour of daylight.

Good luck and Success

Steve.. I like daylight savings. In the fall it confuses my sons.. they think it is later than it truly is, and this way I can get them in the house and in bed early.  Not looking forward to tomorrow.. less sleep, and being up later.. not a good thing.

Lou,

We'll get through it, but it going to seem like a shorter day - because it is. :)

Valerie,

I remember in grade school going to bed when it was still light out. Not fun. :)

Teresa,

It does usually take a couple days to adjust, but the daylight is nice. :)

Indiana got with the program in 2006... but there's a catch.  The State is still split - 18 counties use  Central Daylight Time and the remaining 74 counties of Indiana observe Eastern Daylight Time. At least, I don't have to worry about daylight savings time.

Ryan,

That is really hard when a state is split between 2 time zones. Florida is that way also. :)

Hello Steve... I HATE daylight savings time, I'm a night person and it just takes away an hour of daylight during my awake time.  Plus it hurts showings after clients get off work too!

Posted by Cheryl Powell- SFR,ABR,Broker,Realtor- Remax Executive - Concord NC Real Estate (RE/MAX Executive - The Powell Team) about 3 years ago

Cheryl,

I don't follow you with how it hurts showings after work. I would think it would help. :)
