Today is the last Thursday of 2008. Tomorrow is the last Friday, and on through next Wednesday.
That's always a bittersweet feeling. 2008 - with all of its up and downs is coming to an end and we hate to say goodbye to it - as if we had a choice. But then, 2009 is coming - a blank slate, full of possibilities and dreams and unfulfilled goals to achieve.
While it's tempting to want to hold onto the past, it's empowering to forge on into the future and tackle the challenges and success that await us there.
Enjoy the waning days of 2008, but look ahead with great anticipation to 2009.

Steve, despite all the financial turmoil we've seen this year, I am very optimistic about 2009. While I don't necessarily expect things to do an immediate about-face, I think the year will present plenty of opportunities for those willing to put forth the effort required for success.
