I know that many of you are excited about having a white Christmas - and that you are getting your wish. Others maybe aren't that excited about it but are getting a white Christmas anyway.
I thought I'd try something different this year and wish for a green Christmas - and why not? Green is very popular right now so we're having a very natural Christmas.
The Christmas cactus and candles are blooming. The butterflies are busy.
The windows are open, letting the beautiful breeze and mild 81 degree fill the home.
Having a white Christmas is nice. It's beautiful and peaceful. Green is good too - especially because it's warmer.
Merry Christmas everyone!

Steve- we too are dreaming of a white Christmas but not happening, more like a "rainy" Christmas! It's all good anyway.
Hi Steve
Being originally from New Jersey and looking at the weather I'm very thankful for a green Christmas @ 80°. For those in the northern parts of the country stay warm and have a great holiday.
Good luck and success
Lou Ludwig
Green is good. I've lived in FLA for 4 years, then 32 years in CA so I love green too. We have a cold winter rain headed our way and that will be cause for the fireplace getting turned on.
Merry Christmas.
Chris and Maria,
A white Christmas is nice, but it's sooo cold this year along with it. I'll take the warmer day. Merry Christmas. :)
Steve
Lou,
I've lived in both and will take the green one this year. Hope that everyone has a great Christmas day with their family. :)
Steve
Michael,
We had a little drizzle this morning but tomorrow is supposed to mostly clear. Stay dry and have a wonderful Christmas. :)
Steve
Steve,
Normally we have a green Christmas around here. However, this year it is white and I am not loving it.
Steve I spoke to a friend who lives in Indiana and they are expecting an ice storm tomorrow. I am walking around in shorts.
Steven,
I have been following that snow you've been getting. Make the best of it and have a great Christmas. :)
Steve
John,
That ice is no fun - it's pretty to take a picture of but that's about it. Merry Christmas. :)

Hi Steve:
At first I thought you were going to say something about "MONEY" when you said "GREEN CHRISTMAS"...
I'm dreaming of a green 2009!
Have a Happy!
Patricia,
Green is good. I like wearing green shirts. However, it sounds like it's going to be white for Christmas your way. :)
Steve
Toula,
That works, too, for next year. I'm all for a green (money) 2009. :)
Steve
Steve - White Christmases are pretty, but only for a short time. The white soon turns to dirty black. I sure wouldn't mind a warm Christmas! :)
Debi,
A white Christmas is only pretty right after the snow falls. Then it goes downhill. Having tried both, I'll stick with what we have. :)
Steve
It's a green 86 in Baton Rouge, LA. But we had a morning snow a few days ago that got us into the spirit before it got "green" here too.
Merry Christmas.
Ann,
Wow, 86. That will melt the snow. We don't get any snow here - at least not that we can see. :)
Steve
Steve - Warm is always the first choice in my book. So far Charlottesville hasn't seen much winter weather this winter, but that could change any day. Today was in the 60's and delightful. This time of year that is a gift.
Pam,
Go with it. That's got to feel pretty good. Best to you in 2009. :)
Steve
Steve- I will take the green Christmas we have in SW Florida all day!! Everyone up North can keep the white Christmas:)
Tim,
I have no complaints. Like the green stuff, too. :)
Steve
Totally agree. After living in New Jersey for 22 years we can turn on the weather channel
to see the snow with windows open and warm breezes.
Greg,
It's a nice difference, isn't it? We're having really great weather right now. :)
