When is a picture not worth a thousand words?

When is a picture not worth a thousand words? Answer - when it's missing.

This may be part of the whole proxy error and system update thing - if it is and if everything is going to return to normal, please tell me and that will be fine.

I posted a story on Tuesday with 6 pictures. I've had to keep reposting the pictures. At least one of them (and not always the same one) is missing. It looks like I left a big space between the pictures when there is really supposed to be another picture there. There's still one missing now.

I have visited several other posts today, including a "Wordless Wednesday" and all I saw was white where I know there are supposed to be pictures.

For some reason we are being graphically challenged. I hope it's temporary.

There are lots of bugs but they are working hard to get them corrected. I had a problem with Listing Router and Bob Stewart called me and walked me through the problem.

Yes, this is aggravating - especially the inability to login, error messages and lag.  I don't know about everyone - but the ranks, points and comments are all screwed up now.

Lucky you, I could not even log in all day today.  I bet you they were having major server problems in the rain.

Hi Steve

Looks like active rain is having a number of issues, hopefully everything is corrected soon.

Good luck and success.

Steve - I was here earlier today and was "error proxy"ed many times.  I thought I'd come back later and see if things were better.  I guess not...Hang in there!   :)

Kelly,

Of course there are going to be issues - this thing has grown enormously - doesn't make it any easier to accept. :)

Ryan,

As of now (Saturday morning) everything looks fresh and good. :)

Jim,

Bob Stewart had an explanation for the proxy that fit with I thought was likely the case - too many people trying to be in exactly the same place at the same time on the server. :)

Lou,

We were all in this together. As of right now (Saturday AM) looks like we're OK, but the pictures are still missing - no one has addressed this issue in their comments. :)

At least you can post something, I can not get my blog to accept a new post at all. it keeps showing the last post instead of a blank box. Well, maybe that is AR's Way of saying go out and play instead of sitting in front of a computer.

Steve - I've gotten that dreaded "Proxy Error" message frequently of late.  Initially I thought it was my computer and I was about to begin searching for solutions until I read your post.  I just posted a picture to Speechless Sundays and . ......  "poof"   nothing!  I guess I'll have to be patient and see if it ever does appear.

Anne,

I think you may be getting "auto save" where AR has decided that you need to see the last post you wrote so they automatically reload it for you. There is a "clear" button or you can just erase it it and start a new post. :)

Jon,

I can understand the proxy thing, but I don't get the missing pictures. How can you post something and have it not display - and then when you go to reload it it's there in the draft? :)

Steve, I thought my new log on name was proxy error.  I thought it was my computer at first but when I tried another computer I got the same results. I hope you're right and we get back to the norm soon...

Paul,

I like that - new log in name as "proxy error." The system was in effect offline for much of last week. Here's to a much better week. :)
