Everyone should enjoy where they live and take pride in it. If not, there are so many other wonderful places in this great country where you can live.
I am amazed at all of the local beauty found in the various places I've visited across this country - and other places that I've only seen through pictures.
Today, we are enjoying another crystal clear, Chamber of Commerce day. Highs will be in the low 70s.
As this is Thanksgiving, I am thankful to be living in South Florida when I can walk out my back door and see my tangerines ripening - almost ready to eat.

And where else can you see leaves changing this late into the year - among the palm trees?

HAPPY THANKSGIVING IN THE RAIN FROM SUNNY SOUTH FLORIDA!

I didn't think you had fall-change-color leaves there - LOL. Shows how ignorant I am! :)
Nice post...it's days like these that I'm excited to live in Illinois. It's a balmy 49 degrees out. Tommorrow, I'll have 20 nieces and nephews over playing football. We'll be wearing shorts and t-shirts during the game and putting on sweatshirts after the game. This weather is perfect for the Bettag Turkey Bowl. It'll be a blast.
Karen,
It depends on the trees. It's not widespread, and it's not a colorful splendor like it is in other places, but we have our fall. :)
Steve
Riping tangerines? I know what you meant though and we are eating ours. It's not like Michigan by far, but Florida is best for me and I'm thankful.
Larry,
I remember those days well. Football in the partially frozen-partially thawed topsoil makes for a very slippery and fun event. :)
Steve
Randall,
I was thinking about eating them and not spelling. I was in your area last week. The fruit is developing faster in your area. :)

Great Post. I can't think of another place to celebrate the Thanksgiving Holiday than here in Florida. In addition to all the Turkey and all that goes with it, the football games on TV and more, we have Terrific weather. Happy Thanksgiving to all.
So rare to see leaves changing color in the South!
I agree- if you don't like where you are living, simple solutions for you= move!! ;)
I LOVE the Seattle area and all of Washington state. We have it all, the city, the mountains, the beach, the country. It's a really beautiful place and I am glad to be here. Now, as for the people... just kidding. The people are just fine! :)
Although I love my part of the country, I bet it is nice to be in Florida this time of the year. You still have some warm sun and nice weather. Here, not so much. For the next month or so it will remain grey, very very grey. Then snow for a long time! But, I still love it!

Tony,
Enjoy your day and this great weather. Happy Thanksgiving. :)
Steve
Carol,
It not like it is in further north, but it's something. Happy Thanksgiving. :)
Steve
Nicole,
Washington State from west to east is quite varied - I was surprised. We do have sun most days - rarely the gray (except when it's storming or a tropical system is nearby) and no snow (except a trace in '77). Enjoy your Thanksgiving. :)
Steve
Living in the South can have it's advantages. And I like your fall folage picture. In Baton Rouge we don't get citrus, but do have other fruit and lots of pecans.
Ann,
I do like the south, and I love your pecan trees. They are very stately and of course have great fruit. Happy Thanksgiving. :)
