It’s fall in South Florida - the leaves are turning and so are the citrus

In South Florida, we have our own version of Fall. It began mid-late October.

As you can see from the photos, we have some leaves changing colors - nothing dramatic like some of the photos displayed from northern fall foliage - but color change nonetheless.

This just happens to coincide with another type of color change - the citrus is changing from green and lighter yellow to deep yellow and orange.

Oh, BTW it was in the high 70's today.

Happy Thanksgiving. We certainly are thankful for what we enjoy here.

Russell,

We have a very long fall season. Technically I guess we have all 4 seasons but the winter is very short. Fall realistically extends from mid-October until March or so. :)

Steve, There is nothing like "fresh" fruit off the tree.  I remember getting some really good lemons from my Dad's in Florida a few years back.  Nice memory, thanks for bringing it back for me.

They go pretty fast - between us and the squirrels, but they are good. Thanks. :)

Steve,

The squirrels?  They like fruit?  I thought they just went for nuts, acorns and of course the bird food!
