Clueless, lost, or self-absorbed? - III

Gosh, There's just so much out there. Here's installment 3.

Why is it that I have to listen to someone else's radio at a volume louder than I would ever listen to my own? And they always have their windows down so the world can hear what they're listening to? And while you're turning it down a few dozen decibels, could you please change the station or disc?

And how about the cars that cause your vehicle to shake. You can't always see them but you sense their presence - literally, as the sub-woofers vibrate the bolts loose from their car. How do their cars keep from coming apart?

Or how about the person that you let pull out in front of from a side street or parking lot, and they're not content just to pull ahead of you and keep going? No, they have to navigate their way across 4 or 5 lanes of traffic to get into the turn lane. In the meantime, you're sitting there with the car you tried to help holding up you and everyone behind you - and they're probably not thinking nice things about you.

One more. You're at Walmart (or the mall) and you get in your car to leave. You back out of your parking space and you suddenly remember that you forgot to get something you needed. No problem - you go to pull forward into the parking spot you just left and in the split second it took you to realize that you needed to return to the store, someone else came from the other direction and pulled into your parking space. Technically, you weren't finished with it yet.

Wow, some people!

I think most people these days are in a world of their own.  The real world is just too scary.

Take care.

Obviously we are on their planet and need to get off. If we had a dollar for all the idiots we have to deal with....$$$

Cindy,

You and Sherry have a very similar point of view. Hadn't thought about it that way. That is scary. :)

Sherry,

You mean we're aliens? We could get off - or we could capture the country from them. :)

What about the people that speed up in order to get infront you on the highway then slow down as soon as they do.

They think we are the aliens...But they are just delusional...

Justin,

Thank you. Yes, that is one of the great mysteries - like they're going to penalize us for going slower than they wanted us to by slowing down in front of us - I thought they were the ones in the big hurry. :)

Steve...

You are on a roll ... I mean ...you are "driving" your points home!

Posted by Richard Weisser Coweta Fayette Real Estate over 3 years ago

Richard,

Thank you. Good pun. The way the traffic is around here - which is nothing compared to 75, 285 or 400 in your area, sometimes it's all you do more standing than driving. :)

It's a good thing that my vehicle and I were wearing our "Cloak of Invisibility" the other day. Otherwise the guy who cut me off mght have actually apologized.......Unfortunately I wouldn't have heard him.....with his music blarring so loudly!

Craig,

Very well said. A very clever way of underscoring my points. :)

Every day is a challenge out there in the real world.....But it still beats sitting home and doing nothing!

Craig,

There are risks associated with most anything, but that doesn't we have like everything that's out there. :)

William,

You have to keep smiling - it's hard to remain optimistic if you're not showing it. :)
