Well. here we are. It's been a long season of Presidential politics. We've had the regular season and the playoffs to get to the final two major candidates. Then we've officially had a 60 day championship. One team is up a little, then a lot. The other team surges ahead, then falls back. Today is the decisiove game.
The series is all tied - depending on who you listen to. Of course there is no real way to know because no votes have been counted.
It may very well been within the statistical margin of error.
It's like extra innings in baseball, or sudden death in the NFL, or a soccer shootout. Only one team candidate will be awarded the trophy after tonight - or maybe it'll be sometime tomorrow.
At any rate, the series is about to conclude, and we can move on to other seasons and pastimes.

Steve,
I'll be so glad when this race is over. It has been an interesting process indeed. However having lived in a highly contessted state, we have been bombarded with media ads, and robo calls. Even the mailbox is full every day of various campaign pieces.
It will be nice to get the election past us and to be able to focus more intently on business again.
Vickie,
Is the race really ever over? We'd like to think today decides it, but the other side will be back at it a few weeks. :)
Steve
Steve - I hope we know by the end of the day and that there are no lawsuits, etc... :)
Steve, I wonder about all the places that allow early voting. Seems to me like they might have left the game in the seventh inning.
Debi,
Those are two very tall orders. Probably a landslide is the only way to accomplish your two wishes. :)
Steve
Richard,
I totally agree. They probably went home when it looked like the final score wouldn't be close. :)
Steve
this whole election thing is necessary, because it is that important, but enough already.
Benny,
I don't think you'll get any arguments from anyone. :)
Steve
Wow- I can hardly believe it is finally here. It's been a long run and I sure hope my "team" wins :) I will still be on the sidelines cheering even if we don't win!
But I think I speak for everyone when I say that I can't wait till the candidates and other political commercials are over, unlike the super bowl and other sports time commercials that we can't wait to see!

btw, don't forget the hockey shoot out
Nicole,
I hadn't thought about the commercials that way. Thanks. I can think of a couple for each side that I think are well done from an artisitic tone and composition that show well. :)
Bo,
Thank you. Don't think I've ever seen that. Sorry for the omission. :)
Steve
Over? The next campaign cycles starts Nov. 5.
Ryan,
I know. Isn't that incredible? Obama's not even in office yet and we're talking about the next president after that. :)
Steve
I really couldn't be happier that this thing is over! I exercised my right to vote and now I would like to exercise my right to not have to watch thousands upon thousands of commercials!
Ted
Ted,
That is definitely a worthwhile pursuit. Don't think you'll get many dissenters. :)
Steve
Steve.. I'm already excited about the next election in 4 years... I'm already looking for change. If (as a country) we are still standing.
Valerie,
I thought the same thing. So where's the change? How much time do we give him? :)
