Last week I brought you a tropical sunset. Today I bring you something else from our area that you not get a chance to see that often.
Whether you like coconuts or you don't, I'm sure you know what they are. Yes, unlike money, they do grow on trees.
They have to start someplace, so here's a picture of the next generation alongside those that are full-grown.
I have more than I need if anyone wants some - but you'll have to come and get them. :)

Hopefully that Coconut tree doesn't sit over your driveway.

I got one on my front lawn. Don't you just love Florida!
It certainly looks tropical down your way. Thanks for sharing the pictures.
Steve, are you TRYING to make us jealous? Thanks for the pics. I've seen plenty of 'elderly' coconuts in the grocery store!
Sean,
How did you know? In fact it completely fell over in Wilma and we had to hoist it back up. :)
Steve
Anthony,
Florida is great - especially this time of year. Absolutely. :)
Steve
Rebecca.
We do have our share of tropical rain and humidity, but we also have some great vegitation. :)
Steve
Charlie,
Those are what's inside the big green ones. :)

Hi Steve
Let me know when the coconuts are ready to pick and I'll stop by for a "fresh" coconut.
Good luck and success

Lou,
Sure thing, except I don't know how either one of us is going to be able to reach them. :)
Steve
Hey Steve, do you think that they would have a chance of survival up here in NC? A lot of our local nurseries have been selling different types of palm trees.... you really do have it all!
Teresa,
I think they are pretty much a tropical tree. There are over 100 varieties of palm trees. :)
Steve
Steve.. I can honestly say I've never seen baby coconuts. Living in the northeast, I don't see that happening either.
Steve - Boy, you've got some pretty cool things in your backyard! I'm going to have to start finding things around my home that you don't have...
Ummmm...Let's see......Ummm....Do you know what grasshoppers are....?
(Pretty pathetic, huh?) :)
Valerie,
Well, we all have to start someplace. I'm sure you have plenty of neat things we don't. :)
Steve
Debi,
We don't have apple, peach, pear, cherry, or apricot trees. We don't grow berries. So you're to the plus side there. :)
Steve
Thanks for the picture. These are the first baby coconuts I have seen.
Julie,
Kind of different, aren't they? You rarely think of where they come from. :)
