This morning I got a voice mail message from a number that I didn’t recognize. When I accessed the message, it only said “press 1 to continue in English, press 2 to continue in Spanish.” Mind you, I still don’t know who it is or why I need to do this, so I figured no harm going on so I press “1.” Then it said “press 1 to continue in English, press 2 to continue in Spanish.” I pressed “1” again. Once more, it said “press 1 to continue in English, press 2 to continue in Spanish.” I hung up – forgetting it was a message. I still don’t know who it is.
Then I googled the number and the whole page is full of nothing but complaints from people getting a call from this number without knowing who it is and not able to reach them. FYI the number is 813-830-7822.

Isn't that funny? I'm sure it costs a lot of money for this company to advertise in this way, and nobody can get in touch with them? That's pretty funny (strange funny). :)
Debi,
This might be funny but very annoying. It's like these stupid spam emails we keep getting and we wonder why people waste their time doing them. :)
Steve
Steve,
You should have pressed 2. LOL
Steve...
I have no idea what that's all about, unless they are trying to determine how many people speak Spanish in an area.
Jim,
Now, there's an idea. Talk about out-of-the box. I wonder what would have happened differently. I'm not up to finding out - you try if you like. :)
Steve
Richard,
That's a perfectly plausible idea. I'm not sure why they need to do that type of a binary survey - if that's what it was. :)
Steve
I can received calls that mirror the call you sited on your blog. Not only they are inconvenient but they are annoying. I have my cell phone on the do not call list.
Good luck and success
Lou Ludwig
Lou,
This is very clever of them. Maybe no one would have been there had I answered or maybe I would have heard the same message. Since you can't prove who it was that called, I guess they're outside the radar of the do not call list.
