All right, so I'm addicted

Wow, I awoke early - like I do on most Saturday mornings. Took the trash out to the street, made a cup of coffee, and sat down at the computer - but no Rain. For over 4 hours all I got was a message: "Status: 500 internal service error." I don't know what that is, but it sure is good to be back online.

I agree.  I didn't spend 4 hours trying to get on but am sure relieved that we're back on!

I was so upset I emailed the guys at AR - To my surprise they answered me within 5 minutes to tell me that they were working on the problem and would have everything back up in a few minutes, and they did!  In the meantime, I wrote four posts off line so I am caught up on posting for a few days!  ;-)

I am addicted too.  I am away from home and still checking this.  Its a good thing when the server is down.

Dalia, thanks for commenting. It sure is frustrating when you can't do what you're looking forward to doing.

Steve, thanks for letting us know. I wouldn't have thought about emailing them, but then I had no AR connection of any kind so don't know that I could have done it anyway.

Charlie. it isn't nice doing without is it? Glad for all of us who enjoy the Rain that it's back - but for how long?

Chuck, You say that it's a good thing when the server is down. If you mean that we have to focus on other things, I agree. But why be forced into it? :)

Steve,  I agree, it's like talking to a good friend.

I did the exact same thing.  I guess we have a lot in common...  :)  It's good to be back!  :)

Kenneth, the network does provide a certain degree of comfort - and friendship. Thanks.

Debi, isn't is horrible when what you plan on doing - like visiting the Rain and commenting on a few posts - is interrupted by a little glitch - and that you don't have any idea how soon it might be fixed? It is good to be back. :)

I did the same thing. After a while I checked again and it was back up and running again. We tend to take it for granted until its not there.

Steve, It is up and running now.  I am glad I didn't need to get on this morning.  Sorry, for your pain.

Mike, isn't that incredible that we'd both say almost the same thing without knowing about what the other had written?

Michael, it does kind of set you back when you can't get on the network, doesn't it? You just expect it to be there, and when it isn't, whoa!

Jim, thanks for your comments. It's always good to hear from you. Go out and sell something today! :)

Jimmy, thanks. I'm glad you didn't "need" to get on this morning either, because it wouldn't have made any difference.

Yeah me too. As an old IT guy, I understand that software changes can do this, but it's still a pain in my rear.

Larry, thanks for stopping by. I don't know when this issue will be behind us. I had an even longer outage this morning and early afternoon.
