An honest person would recuse themselves but she was put in place to try and convince the other justices that this idiotic crap bill has some constitutional merit..... which it clearly does not.

Our national debt is huge...Divide 15,000,000,000,000 by about 350,000,000=This is what each citizen owe...
Even with a majority in Congress I do not understand how the Republicans let this woman on the court.
And what is next? We should all agree that everyone is entitled to an I-Pad, cell phone, half of your hard earned income and your dog? It is time for people to get back to depending on themselves and not everyone around them. He who is carried on the back of another has no idea how long the walk is into town.

In your cartoon, Clarence Thomas should be on the other side of the scales of justice with dollar bills in his hand; if Kagan should recuse herself then so should Thomas.
Forcing us to buy something just because we are alive goes against everything America was built on.

I don't recall Thomas being in the White House strategizing with the President how to defend the bill against legal challenges while it was being crafted. :)

Your memory is correct, Thomas did not help write the law, but maybe you'll remember that Thomas's wife is paid by think-tanks and activist groups to try and defeat health care reform?
So what we have here is one person writing a law to pass constitutional muster and another benefiting financially from defeating that measure....hmmmmm.

No doubt she is in the tank for her boss there. I can't see how the individual mandate could possibly be constitutional. If it is upheld, then nothing is uncostitutional.
