Good morning Steve,

What a cool picture.  i like those "power drills" as long as they stay away from my house!

Steve - great picture!  How did you get so close?  Good camera lens?  These "power drills" can be quite annoying at times, but they certainly are prettier than my husband's "power drill".

Great capture, that power drill won't be drilling much in Manhattan New York concrete buildings! :)

Very good picture. I like to hear the sound of the woodpecker then try and find out where they are. Most have some lovely colors.

The perfect title for this photo. They are amazing and powerful creatures and we love hearing and seeing them out in the woods. Have a great Sunday!

Steve - EXCELLENT!  Peckers are one of the hardest birds to catch a good shot of! I've tried many times and just when one is ready to pull the camera trigger they hop or take to flight.  Great job on such a clear shot of a beautiful feathered drill.

I love "nature's power drills!" We have some HUGE ones since we moved to the river. I didn't see them when we were on the lake? Anyway... they look like woodpeckers on steroids! They are the size of an African Grey Parrot.

Steve,

Had a young Coopers Hawk sitting on my deck rail this morning.  Couldn't get the camera to get a shot, but hopefully he/she will be back.  I think we may have a nest in our pines, so I'm going to have to investigage and hopefully get a picture.
