Yesterday we commemorated the 10th anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. Our whole country was
thrown in disarray and disbelief. Today is the 10th anniversary of the day after. There was an
unusual and very visible spirit of friendliness, helpfulness, gentleness, and understanding.
We all came together in an expression of unity.

912 and the days after were a time of strength and resolve. We seem to have lost that.
nWe are a coutry divided until attacked by an outside force. Then we come together to become a force to be reckoned with! Enjoy your day!
Steve.. Thank you for posting this blog. Being Tuesday, it still has the power of a motivator. I'm proud to be an American.. even in tough times of today.

Why does it always take a disaster of some sort before people of differing colors, ethnicities, backgrounds, religion, sexual orientation, political persuasion, etc., will come together and be civil about not just a couple of things, but everything?
Steve ~ This picture & post are simply beautiful! I am proud to be American!I felt the spirit you described and I wish the bliss we felt could be apparent in everyday life.
Russel,
I suspect its because people are so busy with their own lives. :)
Steve
Diane,
That spirit would be great to sustain - but that's asking a lot. :)
