President Obama jumped onto Air Force One today and headed for the heartland to push jobs. Misplaced priority.
Even if he could create jobs, they would be government jobs and we probably have twice as many of those - or more - than we need.
He certainly doesn't need to be spending our money to fuel Air Force One for a project that is unnecessary.
If he wants to campaign, that's finer as long as the DNC pays for it.
If he wants to create jobs, there's plenty he can do without leaving the Oval Office. He can scrap the Health Care Bill he championed, tell DOE to fast-track nuclear plant and gasoline refinery approvals, insist that we start drilling off-shore immendiately, let the shale oils come into play, relax some of the taxes on small businesses, and so much more.
The President can in fact create jobs, but not in the way that he thinks - and not by wasting our money on a campaign junket.
He also should be setting the example of saving rather than spending public money. You'd never know we were running low on money.

Steve, we ( the goverment0 will never run low on money lol
Don't you know they just make a deposit ( you know raise the limit) some things never change.
Enjoy the day
HI Steve,
Good post.
The problem with Mr. Obama, and many like him, is that he's not coachable. He's so well educated he simply doesn't listen to reason.
I agree about reducing the taxes on small businesses. Small businesses are the lifeblood of our economy and it seems that they're all struggling to stay afloat.
Balancing the budget, refining the Health Care plan are the tip of the iceberg and it all needs to start now.
Have an outstanding 2011!
Bill MacBride
Don,
I firmly believe the debt limit can be lowered but not with the rascals in power now. :)
Steve
Bill,
Great to get your insight here. Thank you. :)
Steve
Steve,
I agree. If it's a campaign speech (wink, wink), than the taxpayer shouldn't be paying for any of the bill.
Rich
Steve,
"Misplaced priority" Maybe not!
"If he wants to create jobs," Maybe he doesn't!
"The problem with Mr. Obama, and many like him, is that he's not coachable" Maybe he is!
"Balancing the budget, refining the Health Care plan are the tip of the iceberg and it all needs to start now" Amen, Bill, amen!
Obama is stupid. Maybe not!
Obama is a socialist. Maybe not!
Perhaps Obama , the Kenyon Candidate is an anarchist!
Peehapa Obama, is the most briliant teariost yet! There is no dought that he's cause pain and deveastion ou us and our progenty yet to come.
Perhaps just perhaps.
Bill
Rich,
It's a real stretch to sell it as an official trip. :)
Steve
Bill,
Interesting observations. Thanks. :)
Steve
Steve, he will not change because it will admit defeat. In fact, both parties will continue to do the same thing, and nothing will change, except their poll numbers will continue to decline. At some point, they will be replaced.
Steve - "Helicopter Ben" probably just told the President that he'll create as much money as we need. According to the latest trend in monetary theory, we can just keep pumping out the dollars. But being a bit provincial, I'm always late to accept the latest trends.
Dale,
Except the House Republicans - before this debt bill fiasco - who were doing what they country demanded. :)
Steve
John,
That government printing press is a nice thing to have in the basement for emergencies. :)
Steve
Howdy and evening Steve
Steve, this here trip ain't even the tip of the iceberg, which the whole Obama family waists of our Tax Money. We are going to be paying for them to take a trip to, plus stay at the Martha's Vineyard for ten days of luxury.
They seem to think they are to good to go to Camp David, which our Tax Money pays for them to spend time at.
Plus the fact that our Tax Money payed for them to go back to Illinois celebrate his birthday, and why should our Tax Money pay for the Obama kids and Mother In-law to take trips around the would.
Have a good one
Dale in New Hampshire
Dale,
We have been doing that for all of our Presidents, but this one seem ungrateful at best. :)
