Americans, we need a watchdog and an advocate as Treasury Secretary. I can think of a lot of adjectives for Tim Geitner, and none of them are positive.
He's the one that supported bailing out Chrysler and effectively buying GM. Now he is so proud of those actions.
He told us that our economy would collapse if we didn't bail out the banks. He forced the banks to take the TARP even though most didn't want it and most have returned it since. The financial collapse was highly overblown.
He promised a catastrophic collapse to our economy if we failed to raise the debt limit. We didn't, and it didn't - not yet anyway.
He cries wolf about a default certainty if we don't raise the debt limit, yet he can pay all our bills without defaulting with the money he has on hand - unless he intentionally chooses to without payments and cause a default that way.
He got us QE 1 and QE 2 and is lobbying for QE 3.
Let's get a free market capitalist in this post or let it be vacant. We shouldn't have to continue on this course.

An advocate at the Treasury Department would be a good thing.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Lou,
It would be a welcome change. :)
Steve
Absolutely agree! The way he and obama are pushing us and increasing the spending, looks very much like cloward/piven.
The Cloward/Piven Strategy is a method employed by liberals to create and manage a crisis. This strategy explains Rahm Emanuel's statement, "You never want a serious crisis to go to waste."
The Cloward/Piven Strategy is named after Columbia University sociologists Richard Cloward and Frances Piven. Their goal is to overthrow capitalism by overwhelming the government bureaucracy with entitlement programs. The created crisis provides the impetus to bring about radical political change.
Georgia,
Thanks for the additional insights. You are correct. :)
Steve
Steve - Georgia has made an excellent observation, some thing that Neal Boortz has been asserting for over a year.
Mike,
Keep spreading the word. Maybe the message will begin to take hold. :)
Steve
A free-market economist would be the best advocate. You don't have that in Fuhrer Geithner.
Jay,
Or is it Comrade? :)
Steve
I do like your comment "Let's get a free market capitalist in this post or let it be vacant. We shouldn't have to continue on this course" and shared this on facebook. Nice post, thanks for taking the time to put it together.
Dana,
Thank you for your interest and your passion as well. Appreciate it. :)
