The federal government has a department called the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). It's real name should be the National Labor Advocacy Board.
Clearly the feds know nothing about free enterprise - the backbone of this country. They are attempting to assert their will and determine where businesses can and cannot operate - all because of labor unions.
You've probably heard that Boeing wants to relocate part of its manufacturing from the Seattle are to South Carolina. This would mean some 3,200 additional jobs for South Carolina - not to mention homes for all those relocating to the area or moving around within the area - autos and pickup trucks, too, possibly.
But, the NLRB can't allow those jobs to go to a right to work state where union influence and control is not assured.
Thus, the NLRB is attempting to stop a private business from exercising their right to be located wherever they deem the most beneficial for their business - and attempt to keep union jobs in Washington state. Interestingly, Boeing has already added 2,000 union jobs in Washington state since the NLRB started poking its nose into this.
Once again, an Administrative department or function is acting outside the Constitution.

Eye opening. Is this even legal? I guess it is; but it sure is unfair to those who could benefit most...
I had no idea that they could "force" a company not to relocate....especially WITHIN the United States.
Thanks. I will have to read more about this.
Ken and Leslye,
Legal, no - but they may get away with it. :)
Steve
Don,
Big labor is extremely powerful in this country and the Administration is beholding to them. :)
Steve
I heard about this a few days ago and it made me nuts! Why can't "they" just LEAVE US ALONE?
"They" won't leave us alone because organized labor has lots of money to spend "lobbying" Congress to make laws that help give them more money and in return they give Congresspeople big campaign contributions. The cards are stacked against us (we the people).
SaraMana,
Because it's all about the unions and social programs. :)
Steve
Colleen,
Well said. Our free market system is being attacked by the very ones who benefit from it. :)
Steve
Steve - this needs to go to the SCOTUS, ASAP! This is administration is exceeding the excesses of any previous administration perhaps Roosevelt or especially Wilson. It wants to control all aspects of business in this country and eliminate capitalism and the free market. Freedom and liberty have really no place in this administration.
My reaction to this news is the same as all the above; and I agree totally with Nick and Mike.
Mike,
Somewhere along the way, socialism was ingrained in this bunch as the way to go. :)
Steve
Lois,
Thank you. We have to preserve our free enterprise system. :)
Steve
Nick,
We have to speak up. Not all businesspeople are capitalists even though it seems they should be. :)
Steve
Why isn't this front page news and being blasted all over the evening news? I know the answer. The media doesn't give two hoots about freedom and capitalism!
I hope Boeing sues. Thug politics are rampant under obama.
Georgia,
The media benefits from both but sees itself as above both - disconnected and special. :)
