May Day, Mayday!

Welcome to May. It should be an exciting month with a lot going on. Spring continues. The Kentucky Derby is next Saturday, the Indy 500 and Coca Cola 600 run at the end of the month, and summer begins unofficially on Memorial Day weekend also.

We have a lot of work to do as a country. We have to stop spending. We have to get rid of the regulations and controls that are stifling our businesses.

Congress is trying, but there is such a long way to go.

Not raising the debt ceiling is the first place to start to restore a little sanity to our government.

America did not become great through entitlements, but it may well become an also-ran through them.

Steve,
We are in a stressful situation, we should all be saying, "Mayday Mayday".. with the current way that things are being handled .. and have been handled for some time now.

Judi,

Thank you. I appreciate your agreement and support. We need to speak out and speak up. If we don't, who will? :)

Hi Steve...I thought May started off just right.  Sure we had to wait until almost midnight but great news we received.

I do believe if we can get out of Iraq and Afghanistan, our economy will begin to look even better. And I do believe it is better than it was in the fall of 2008.

Kate,

Our economy won't look better until Congress stops spending and stops borrowing and the size of government is dramatically shrunk. Not waging wars will help with the spending. :)
