We have more than enough energy resources to be self-sufficient but we aren't allowed to drill or mine. Forget the strategic oil reserves. We shouldn't touch them, but we should be all over every chuck of coal in this country and every drop of oil and vapor of natural gas across this country and off our shores.
America, we are being played by our leaders. We have to demand drilling!!!!

But if we did that, the price of gas would probably go down and the oil companies would make their profits! LOL
Steve,
I think that we need lots of re-thinking our supplies, but not sure it will happen.
We just need to Un-Cap the thousands of wells that were sealed in the 50's when Eisenhower decided to get Oil from Saudi Arabia and the Middle East.
Colorado, Wyoming, Texas, Oklahoma - we don't even have to touch the Gulf of Mexico or Alaska - just break the Concrete off the Wells in the Continental States, put the pumps back on, and get the Oil Flowing.
I agree with you Steve. Thank you for sharing it with us!
Steve, don't these gas prices happen about every 13 months? Am I getting so use to these ups and downs that they no longer shock me?
We have the resources. We have the technology. We have the manpower! What do we lack? Leadership!!
I do not understand a mentality that places America's energy future in the hand s of those who wish to destroy America! Drill, Baby, Drill!
Once we get rid of O the oil will flow. Time for a leader.
How much are you paying for gas now? This best price I saw this morning was $3.33. Ugh!
We got rid of the liberals in Congress - now the Senate and President - it will begin to flow again
But I think we all got bit the day Obama took office - and the majority of both Houses of Congress - what a mess
Chris,
Competition is the answer - always has been. Thanks. :)
Steve
Steve,
The raw materials are there. What are we saving them for? :)
Steve
Fred,
Sounds like a plan. :)
Steve
SaraMana,
Thanks for the support. :)
Steve
Paul,
We are being manipulated - first with the switch from winter to summer, and then back again, vacation seasons, the hint of conflicts around the world, hurricane season in the Gulf (that hasn't had an impact in 6 years) .... :)
Steve
Wayne,
Absolutely. Very well said, We need some good old gumption. :)
Steve
Gary,
Ask the Administration about that one. :)
Steve
Kevin,
I sure hope you're right. :)
Steve
Ann,
That is cheap compared to here. Gas should be selling for under a dollar like it was a few years ago. :)
Steve
Nick,
We need people in office who actually love America and will fight for it. :)
Steve
Congratulations - This post is now featured in Silent Majority of The Active Rain Network!
Nick,
Thank you. :)
Steve
I may be different than some, but what has been working in the past just needs some tweaking. We started the development of the middle east fields and made the shieks billionaires. They need us more than we need them. For example, look what is happening to many countries in the middle east and that is with the citizens using rocks and bottles. Without our military hardware, the leaders are doomed. Yes, they may kill alot of people in the process, but when they use up their ammo and need aircraft parts, who they going to call? We just need a ballsy guy....or woman in the white house to get tough.
Dale,
It doen't help that they think we are weak. If we start producing our own oil, how low do you think those prices will go? :)
Steve
But with 2 oil men running the White House, the oil companies will never allow us to smash their record profits by using our own resources. Oh wait that was 2 years ago. The oil men are gone. Guess we will have to come up with another excuse. Oh BP BP.
Rob,
Good one. :)
Steve
Rob that was funny. We sure do not seem to hear all of that BS now about how Bush and Cheney wanted some more profits for thgeir big oil buddies.
Kevin,
Right. :)
