There are now 28 states that are covered under the ruling by Judge Vinson that the Obamacare law is unconstitutional and cannot stand.
Many of us knew that there was no Constitutional authority for the bill, and we are quite pleased with his affirmation of our opinion.
Today, the House - after voting to repeal the bill ealier - went a step further and voted to defund it in a cost-cutting measure. They are axing many unnecesasry expenditures, and this certainly is one of them.
Sooner or later, one way or another, this bill will go away. The only question is how much damage it will do to our economy and personal initative in the process.

How much time and money has already been wasted just to get to this point?
The SOONER the BETTER for the economy and employment and ultimately the HOUSING industry. Real estate professionals who do not understand the DISASTER that this legislation will bring have their heads in the sand...and do not understand the economics....
Georgina,
Just the printing costs of those 2,000 plus pages times how many copies? Wow! :)
Steve
Wallace,
Well said. Thanks. :)
Steve
I am very proud of our governor of Alaska that stated he will not implement Obamacare at this time. He is abiding by recent ruling of the federal court in Florida stating it is unconstitutional, and it is. One state at a time we have to push back on this huge overreach of the federal government into our lives.
Steve
The backlash on the bill is growing in the country.
Good luck and success.

I like Georgina's question, how much money have we paid needlessly?
Steve, I think people are finally waking up to fight back the entitlement mentality that's been running rampant.
We elect people to represent us in Washington. We expect them to do the best for us. This is an example of the system gone wrong. The only winners here are the paper companies and if all ends well, the recyclers!
Hey hey hey Goodbye!
The people of this country are sick and tired of the entitlement mentality.
Hey Steve,
I know many times people will steer clear of these kinds of topics...but, it is important to address them because it's all of our futures. Thank you for taking that step. As for the Bill yes, to much has been wasted, again my own personal opinion. There is so many other things we need to focus one but, those who are in "power" are not starting in the right direction.
Cheryl,
Right you are, and I commend your governor and all Alaskans. :)
Steve
Lou,
It needs to be undone. :)
Steve
Paul,
I don't think we'll ever know. :)
Steve
Silvia,
I agree - except those who are dependent on the entitlements. :)
Steve
Wayne,
Bring on the recyclers! :)
Steve
Kevin,
I know that I am. Thanks. :)
Steve
Carole and Laura,
Thank you for your gracious comments. These bills do impact us - as taxpayers and as businesspeople. :)
Steve
Steve - this needs to get to SCOTUS quickly. While it is not guarenteed, a ruling that this is not constitutional and not covered under the Commerce Clause will kill it. Until then....

An author of everything tends to know very little about all those things. But, I could be wrong. Probably not, but I could be. Steve-O ... you do motivate me to ensure this particular agenda never gets introduced again. Fiscal Responsiblity, I'm cool with. Trying to act like a Moral Authoritarian of God & The Constitution doesn't quite fly with me.
Health Care NEEDS Reform. If you don't agree with the suggested way to do it, I'd love to hear your ideas on it going forward.
.....
I am proud to say that my AG here in Idaho was one of the first to sign onto this lawsuit.
Mike,
I agree. Since that seems to be the only sure way to dump it. let's expedite. :)
Steve
Jason,
Health care does not need reform so I guess we don't agree. I'm OK with that. Even if it did, government is prohibited from stepping in except to loosen some its already imposed rules. We have the best in the world now. :)
Steve
Kevin,
Glad he's on board. That really helps. McCullom here in Florida led the way. :)
Steve
Agree to disagree is cool with me, Steve. There is a legit argument to be made that we DO have the best in the world as it sits. Of course, Bankruptcy Attorneys may dread the day where Medical Expenses aren't the fruit of their particular labor. Doesn't mean it needs not reform, but I respect where you are coming from.
You are a very polite person and I dig that.
One-sided most of the time, but at least polite. Thank you for that:)
We shall disagree another day.
Jason,
Thank you. Until next time. :)
Steve
This power grab by our
Sorry, pushed the wrong button in my rush.
Trying this again. ;)
The power grab by the politicians needs to be reversed in any way possible!! Government calling the shots on who gets what regarding healthcare is just plane DUMB.
Why do you think Steve that obama can "decide" to NOT FOLLOW the marriage law (signed by Pres Clinton) and tell the Dept of Justice to ignore the law...but he sure as hell is demanding everyone else follow his obamacare...even AFTER a judge has ruled it UNCONSITUTIONAL?!!!
Georgia,
What's that I recall about support and defend the Constitution? :)
