So far, the only person who seems to be enjoying the enhanced security inspections at the airports is the creator and perpetrator of this injustice, John Pistole - plus a few voyeurs and perverts wearing TSA uniforms. From what I read, many of the TSA employees are saddened and sickened that they have to do this to their fellow Americans and that they have to be subjected to taunts and name-calling. Wouldn't be surprised if several are having nightmares - at all times of the day.
Just because we desire to fly on an airplane and show up at the airport, we are being denied our 4th Amendment rights to unreasonable searches of our persons and presumed to be suspects - with no probable cause.
As I said, the premise is flawed. Somehow Pistole has managed to convince himself and then the President (Napolitano probably needed no convincing) that the microwave-style radiation booths (definitely opt out of these if you value your health) or the invasive pat-downs would have detected the "Christmas Day" underwear bomber. Wrong.
First, he boarded the plane outside the country, as did the shoe bomber, and the toner cartridge packages - and today's latest packages uncovered at Logan. Second, the manufacturers of the scanners say that the machines wiill not detect what the underwear bomber was wearing. A pat-down might have or might not have - we'll never know for sure, but knowing that the machine wouldn't find it, he would have selected it for the screening and walked on through.
Because the enhanced secuity can't do what Pistole expressly says it has been implemented to do, let's scrap it and him, too.
In the immortal words of Donald trump, "John, you're fired!"
Happy Thanksgiving to all, and I certainly hope that airline travel is not on your agenda this week.

As I prepare to board my flight this Thanksgiving, if I look suspicious, I want to be run through a security check...
You all enjoying that Hope and Change thing yet - Obama has changed America in two short years
I think the word is to day President Obama, YOU'RE FIRED!!!
Congratulations this post is now featured in the Silent Majority Group of Active Rain.
Paul,
Trust me, you don't look suspicious. Happy Thanksgiving. :)
Steve
Nick,
Didn't take him that long. :)
Steve
Nick,
He either doesn't realize he's being played or he's complicit. :)
Steve
Nick,
Thanks for the feature. :)
Steve
Steve - It's just an issue of political influence and big bucks. The companies that manufacture the scanners doubled the money spent on lobbying during the past five years, more than $4 million so far this year. Of course they've sold the government taxpayers almost $40 millions in equipment.
John,
Criminal is what it is. It's not free enterprise when the the premise is flawed. :)
Steve
Hey Steve , you are right this is the Obama pay back to all of us that did not vote for the Obama area brown shirts now know as TSA.
We should adopt the way of a certain middle eatern country an arm all of the citizens over 16.
Bill,
Bush actually started the TSA , but they are unnecessary either way. :)
Steve
Steve
I totaly agree with Nicholas and his comments.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Lou,
Thanks. :)
Steve
I promise as soon as these TSA employees start having these nightmares we are all going to be paying for it because they are going to go on disability and live their lives out with us paying for it as tax payers.

Steve - just remember what Napolitano said last week - "Don't fly!" "If people want to travel by some other means, they have that right." Of course she is now saying that trains, subways and other forms of transit may be subject to the same procedures. Its not about security first, it is about controlling travel.
This whole TSA search has gotten out of hand. Common sense is that all these terrorist have on thing in common. They were radical Muslims. It's not that hard. Screen everybody with metal detectors and identification but only give intense screening to people that look like trouble.
Todd,
Interesting observation and quite likely. :)
Steve
Mike,
It is 100% about controlling us, travel, and our free movements - that's the socialists' way. :)
Steve
Rob,
Don't mention common sense and TSA in the same sentence. :)
Steve
This is to be the new norm and we are being set up. This has nothing to do with underwear bombers...
Jay,
Not at all. It's control - always has been for the progressives. :)
