As i sit here and sweat looking at the picture, I think I understand....
I once heard someone say that the phrase "It's not the heat, it's the humidity," is like saying "It's not the bullet, it's the hole it leaves behind." :)
In the South, women GLOW with the humidity! HAHA! After living in Hawaii and NoCA for 20 years, I got off a plane in Orlando in May and IMMEDIATELY KNEW why I had grown up with ponytails in SC. VA is not as bad as SC; however, 100 degree temps are hard to take going in and out of AC all day!
Ross,
Bring on the heat! Thanks. :)
Steve
Kristen,
I like that saying. :)
Steve
Wallace,
The last two summers have had unusually low humidity to go with higher than normal temps. :)
Steve
The hottest I've ever experienced was 107 deg. That was more than hot enough for me!
Hi Steve...way to Hot for this Old Boy :O))
Steve,
Wow, those are readings we would never see around Bellingham, either one.
Nice - this summer has been a hot one for sure!
That's bloody hot, I don't care who you are.... you must be doing some crotch pot cooking...
John,
I didn't know it could get this hot just being outside in the sun. :)
Steve
Fred,
It was a warm one alright. :)
Steve
Steve,
That is about the lowest humidity I've seen here. :)
Steve
Carol,
I'm not sure I want to see how cold the winter is going to be. :)
Steve
Diane,
Hot indeed! :)

Steve...came upon this only today [Aug.1] due to problems with ISP yesterday; read the comments and if that is the Humidity there in FL--we [Sal & I] will have few problems in the breathing department; the Heat is a tad high, but that is why one has AC in the house, right. His breathing was messed up by travel to & ingestion of water elements while in S. America & Mexico for G.Motors[ the OLD G.M.] Humidity fells us both in the catching a breath-area. coming to FL--North of W.Palm Beach area to check breathing-ability next week. NOW, I am actually getting excited that a move [after we Sell this Home] is possible.
Like the thermometer pictured. Have a good 1st week in August.
Steve, Sal informed me that he dislikes heat & humidity
& he reminds me about his G.M. job that ended him up i AZ in the desert in the sand at the black topped proving grounds, where it was 110 heat & 22 humidity.I explained that was desert, no grass, no waster nearby & all sand. He stands by his statement, but I still like what you showed in your photo. [Aug.02]

Steve,
We have the humidity here in Misery..... Missouri and it is HOT as well.
Ann Hayden in Wildwood, MO
Steve - The humidity is a killer. I don't go for my daily bike ride until after 7pm and it's still too hot.
That looks like the temperatures here in good ol' Alabama! We sweat just from the humidity. I can take the heat, but add to that stifling humidity and I will just go inside. Great idea for a photo to by the way.
