Looking for another way to create synergy on the web and get more advertising power? Yahoo Real Estate and Zillow have just announced that they are partnering to allow ads for property that are purchased and placed on Zillow's site to be visible on both sites.
In addition, Zillow will be managing a common set of available listings on both sites.
Under terms of the agreement, Zillow will serve as the exclusive provider of listings of properties for sale at Yahoo Real Estate, and Yahoo will continue to control the look and display of listings posted on ts site. , and will maintain separate databases of foreclosure properties, newly constructed homes, and rentals.
The venture is an attempt to give them enough power to supplant Realtor.com as the number one listing site.

Whenever someone is as far ahead as Realtor.com it will be difficult to take them on.
Thx for this information, I have a zillow account but I had no Idea,
Zillow lost me when they decided to raise their prices to Realtor.com level but without any benefit I could see for the agent. Zillow markets itself as a buyer-focused site and buyers have used Zestimates against sellers. It will be difficult to change their reputation.
Great news!
Elite,
This strategic alliance of the number 2 and 3 players is supposed to just that. :)
