I tried Google Chrome when it first came out. It was pretty and flashy. Didn't think it rose to IE or Firefox except for a couple of features.
Tried it again a couple of times since - just to see if I was missing anything.
Tried it again over the weekend as my Firefox was giving me issues, and it was suggested that I try Chrome. Did that. I'm done again. Back to Firefox.
Even if I have to deal with one or more crashes a day on Firefox, it's still easier to navigate than Chrome. Don't care much for the bookmarks on Chrome either. While Firefox continues to page over as you open more tabs, Chrome just scunches them all onto the same screen - you can't see any information, just the really small tabs.
The last straw came just a little while ago. I had 20 or so windows (tabs) open on Chrome, and I clicked a link. It opened a new browser and shut down the other one. Everything lost. No way to recover like Firefox which gives you the choice of saving all the tabs and starting them up again.
Maybe someday Chrome will get their act together, but I don't have time to wait. Back to Firefox unless someone can point me to something better.

I'm glad you made your post as I'm just getting into using firefox and loking at chrome so I appreciate your comments.
I LOVE the Chrome! I use it to post my listings to CL, update my website and I can ALWAYS find past sites in the "history"....
Good post, when wondering if I should switch to chrome and wasn't sure if the hype was true that it was so great. Now I know!
Billi,
That's one of the great things about AR - the exchange of info. Good luck. :)
Steve
Wallace,
I must have a "different" version than you. I used it 4 days and it didn't remember one password or one site I had been to. :)
Steve
Tamra,
Your experience might be different than mine. Wallace reports great results just above your comments. Part of choosing a browser is personal preference. :)
Steve
I think Chrome is a good example of the limits of Google in trying to be all things to all people. With so many good browsers already it is hard to understand why they even felt the need to make another.
Steve,
None of the current browsers are 100% effective for me. I actually use different ones for different purposes.
Rich
John,
Ditto for Buzz. :)
Steve
Rich,
I like to stay with one and just use it. So far, Fiorefox does seem to have what I need - as long as it doesn't crash. :)
Steve
I have played with it a bit but I agree it has some odd ball stuff I do not like.
I agree with Rich; I have to use different browsers for different programs. Chrome won't open AR for me and I have to use IE8. I use Chrome, though for Facebook; it has less problems than IE8. I guess it's whatever floats the particular boat your trying to float.
Steve,
It's not for me either. Thanks. :)
Steve
Toni,
AR recommends Firefox for their site. Have you tried it? :)
Steve
I am not a fan of it either but I have a friend who had it installed on her laptop last week and absolutely loves it so far.
Thanks, Steve, I will give it a try.
Debra,
Chrome is pretty but very functional - guess it depends on how you use it. :)
Steve
Toni,
Good luck. Let us know how it works out. :)
