Washington, read our lips: we don't want your health care package!
How can we make it any clearer that we want reforms - just not your lame, overindulging plan.
Scott Brown carried Massachusetts against conventional wisdom because of health care - people made themselves clear at their dissatisfaction for what Washington are doing.
Poll after poll for months shows anywhere from 51%-68% of the people don't want this health care package. A few were even in the 70s.
So what do we get?
We get an out-of-control Nancy Pelosi with her "gate, wall, pole vault, parachute" committment that "we will pass this health care" at any and all costs. Talk about being out of touch.
Then, we get Obama that has made basically a speech a day since the State of the Union campaigning for health care passage.
Two things are very clear: (1) Washington leadership is only in this for themselves - they aren't interested in us, no matter what they say, and (2) we need 435 fresh faces in the House come November 2nd and 36 fresh faces in the Senate - not likely to happen, but that's what we need.

I think you speak for most of America!
Obama is unable to utter a sentance about the economy of the US without claiming that heath care reform is the key to all economic ills.
They work for their own bank accounts and thier own glory and that is all. Time for them to go.
I wish they could focus on one thing at a time and only one thing at a time. Less damage can be done that way and maybe, just maybe something might work out right. Okay, so maybe I'm trying to be optimistic here.
We need specific reforms, not a government takeover!
Steve,
Their contempt for the majority of the American people is stunning. They actually believe that we don't understand the proposal, thats why we're opposed.

I agree that it would be good to have more health care available to more people, especially those who are not so poor as to get public assistance, and those who end up with a chronic and costly ailment. However, from what I see, this plan is not the plan the country needs. More thought needs to go into it than working up a lather trying to get across the finish line in an effort to crow about having passed it.
Travis,
Thanks for your support and encouragement. :)
Steve
Lenn,
He invented this 2 years ago during the campaign as a way of taking over our lives without people noticing. :)
Steve
Kevin,
Go they must. :)
Steve
Suesan,
The fact is that nearly everything they work on, do, or propose is not provided for in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution. That is all the power they have - except what we let them do and get away with like Medicare and Social Security and health care and bailouts and student loans ... :)
Steve
Jon,
Their idea of a reform is total takeover and submission by us. :)
Steve
Rich,
Talk about a ruling class - the entitled and the enlightened. :)
Steve
Steve,
The only issue that people consistently agree on is lowering cost through more personal choice of coverage and competition - neither of which will ever be included in a bill while the Dems and Progressives control the votes in Congress. :)
Steve
Steve, as you have figured out, marxists only care about the end and for them the means justifies the end. End is a good word, and it is time to end this attempt to change our country to suit them. If they don't like it here, I hear that Iran is nice this time of the year.
Don't call Nancy Pelosi on Fridays, Steve, she is to busy flying in her private Air Force Jet drinking adult beverages. Maybe she needs to come down to earth to hear what mere mortals want...
Thank goodness it is Friday, I hope you have a great weekend!
Paul
Guy,
Hear, hear! :)
Steve
Paul,
I can't even relate to this kind of disconnected aloofness and arrogance. :)
