Could it be the pendulum, that seemed to be moving so far to left that it appeared doubtful it could ever come back, is now actually beginning to drift back a little?
Let's look at four events from just this week.
One, Scott Brown - in the midst of overwhelming odds and precedence and an all-out campaign lead by the President - prevails and wins the US Senate seat in Massachusetts.
Two, the insurmountable 60 vote block of Democratic votes in the Senate is now reduced by one and is no longer impenetrable.
Three, Southers withdrew his application to be confirmed as TSA Director. This has not received much play, but it is another great signal that the people's voice is being heard.
Four, the Health Care bill as we have known it seems unpassable.
Just when it was beginning to look bleak for small businesses and the collective voice of America, the pendulum does seem seem to be coming back our way - and all within a week's time.
Wonder what next week will bring.

Hi Steve:
All these pendulum changes keeps us on our toes!
Have a great weekend.
Steve,
Many had given up but we must never never never give up! Didn't someone say that when it looked bleak for Britain during WW2?
Through many hours of shouting, petitioning, blogging and prayers...we now see the fruits of our labors -
With enough voices we can move the pendulum. Hoping for some additional good news next week.
Steve, I want to know where the American voice was when the pendulum had swung too far to the right. What we are seeing today is a direct result of the pendulum getting stuck in the extreme right position for far too long.
Even the right side didn't take care of small business. Our entire economy seems to be focused on helping big business and is ignoring the needs of individuals and small business.
I don't trust bi-partisanship any more than I trust polarity.
Time will tell.
Toula,
Renewed opportunity may be coming. :)
Steve
Until the President is scared for his own job, we won't be where we need to be. I think if there is a GIANT shift in Congress in November we'll see a President ready to lead from the middle.
Mike,
Good observations. Thanks. :)
Steve
Nicholas,
I'd say that we see the beginning. We still have a long way to go. :)
Steve
Raylene,
Who knows? We may be on a good news trend. :)
Steve
Kate,
Don't know when the pendulum was "stuck" in the right position - unless you are talking about Republican leadership with progressive policies. :)
Steve
Lane,
I'm not sure he is willing to compromise his agenda to do that. :)
Steve
We didn't think Clinton would, either. Of course, I don't mind an ineffective Obama. That is better for the country than him being effective.
Lane,
I'm all for a lame duck Obama. :)
