I don't know how it will be in other parts of the country, but we are in for a couple of quite cool weeks here in South Florida as we start off 2010. Since we are normally warmer than any other place in the country during this time of year, I can only assume it's going to be quite cold elsewhere.
If only we didn't have that global warming.
Tomorrow we are projected to get to 80. Then it's all downhill. After a 78 on Saturday, the temps are all in the 60s for daytime highs for the next two weeks (not counting January 12 at 70) - maybe even longer, but that's as far as the 15 day forecast extends.
Our lows are in the 40s for that entire period. I don't remember the last time we had this extent of a cool snap. It's that stupid global warming.

That is why they've changed the term to Climate Change. Then they can be right no matter which way it goes, and all we'll have to do is pay the tax for it!
Ron,
Yes, but climate change from when or what to what? Thanks. :)
Steve
Steve, I know what you mean. We're facing a colder stretch than we have had ofr a long time... if it weren't for all those inconsiderate people driving cars, obviously it would be a lot cooler :)
Steve--We have been bouncing up and down above and below average all year long. Today we were normal at a balmy 23 degrees...heading for single digit highs for the next two days. I'll take your "cold" weather anyday!
Shoshana,
At least it's warmer here than elsewhere. :)
Steve
Teri,
Single digits is not fun, :)
Steve
Steve - I guess liberals have found it easier to control the news more so than the weather.
JP
Steve. When Northerner visit this time of year, they are in flip flops and tank tops and the locals are in turtlenecks and fleece! Willard Scott said it was going to be a perfect eighty the other day. Forty in the morning and forty at night! BBRRRRRRR I hate it when it plummets to seventy with one of our "cold snaps". LOL
Steve - I know exactly what you mean!
Congratulations this post is now featured in the Silent Majority Group of Active Rain.
We are already having a very cold winter up here in Idaho. Global stupidity maybe, but not warming.
Yes - Having a cold winter doesn't seem to change Obama and Gore's mind on global warming....hmmm
When will these libs realize it. Maybe man does contribute a teeny weeny bit, maybe he doesn't. The sun is the main factor for temperatures on earth. Temps fluctuate constantly based on the sun's position in the sky, the time of day, the time of year, and all sorts of other weather patterns. Even little kids understand that.
Steve, here in Colorado, two years ago we had the coldest winter in over 100 yrs. I'm not sure how this year will end up, but I think this year has been colder.
JP,
Without question. Thanks, :)
Steve
Marcia,
Know the feeling. Have you seen what's coming? :)
Steve
Simon,
Thank you. I appreciate the feature. :)
Steve
Kevin,
And just at how much energy was used to have all those countries go to Denmark to debate something that doesn't even exist. :)
Steve
Nicholas,
Gore I can understand. He's making too much money from this hoax. :)
Steve
Rob,
Yes, but that doesn't sell votes. :)
Steve
Jon,
We are reportedly in a cool snap of a few years duration. :)
Steve
Steve - In the land of Gore (Nashville), we have had cold nasty weather, just like always, or at least always for my lifetime. If Al was right, i wouldn't need heat in my house or a coat to wear.
Larry,
Just send the bills to him. :)
Steve
Steve- I cant wait for global warming to kick in! I want to grow orange trees in the yard!
Taxes for climate change makes about as much sense as paying the witch doctor to get rain.
Larry,
I'm wearing a jacket tonight due to global warming. :)
Steve
Will,
Taxes don't have to make sense. :)
