A new iPhone app published yesterday by Nuance for the "Dragon Naturally Speaking" product is said to make texting and emailing quite simple.
The best part is that it is free - for now. There will be a cost after everyone gets hooked on the product and enjoys using it.
Simply download the app from your iTunes Store account ("Dragon Dictation") and you're ready to go. You can record your message of any length, it will upload to Nuance and return in approximately 5 seconds. Then you can edit it, store it, text it, email it, or copy it into a letter.

Hey Steve,
This is a new one for me, I'll check it out. Thanks a bunch!
Lynda,
I haven't tried it yet but it's on my phone now. :)
Steve
I just downloaded it! Sounds like a great time saver! Thanks!
Sherry,
Good luck, Glad to pass it along. :)
Steve
Steve, I've been considering whether I'm ready to "upgrade" myself to a new practice of this type of app.LOL
That sounds like a wonderful app. I have to get a new phone soon and I am thinking about the iphone.
Very cool, Steve! Someone has taken the 'Jott" concept and made it much more useful - I'll have to try this one!
Mike
Steve,
Why not? Then you can start 2010 with an upgrade. :)
Steve
Anne,
The apple was the only brand I had never owned when I got it. So far, no regrets. :)
Steve
Mike,
I'm looking forward to actually trying it myself. :)
Steve
Steve,
I'm a little concerned about the privacy aspect. I just read some of the comments on the app and apparently when you accept the EULA, it uploads all of your contacts to Nuance. Why would I give them access to all my contacts?
Rich
Rich,
That is a concern. They say they just want it for a spelling dictionary. Don't know if that's they extent of it. :)
