No need to camp out all night to be first in line at your favorite retailer for their Black Friday doorbuster sale that starts at 4:00, 4:30 or 5:00 am. Your can if you want, but there's no need.
Retailers have gotten the internet marketing bug and have been sending out emails with many of their specials all during this week. I've already succumbed to some pretty special deals. You can either buy online for delivery or you could have visited the store yesterday or today (for those that are open).
When retailers need to generate business, where do they turn? Obviously, the internet. Oh, the newspapers still got some ad business, but I'm betting the emails are going to save this holiday shopping season - if anything is.
Another reason to be active online.

haha...I completely agree with you! But my gf is still dragging me out there at 5am to shop :)
I think some really enjoy getting up early.
Not me.... I have never liked shopping and especially getting up early to do it.
I agree it has changed, even for those who enjoy it and will continue to with the internet.

Twitter is even getting in on the action, tweeting the best early dawn Black Friday specials. Social Media is here to stay!
Steve, these deals look tempting but I can't get myself out to a store before daylight and I admit I've looked at Amazon.com and some other sites myself.
Chad,
It could be fun - just not as necessary as in years past. :)
Steve
Mark,
I'll tried to stay home all day or at least until later in the day on Black Friday. Now, I can shop without going out. :)
Steve
Linda,
Twitter is a good strategy - if you're connected. :)
Steve
Silvia,
They are very enticing - but only if you really need something. :)
Steve
Steve,
My daughter was out and she said that Best Buy had twenty people lined up at the door as of 2pm today. they open again at 5am.
Thinking about going to BrandsMart at midnight... Can't start Black Friday any earlier. The only thing going for bricks and mortar is touch...
I don't think I will be up at 4:00 or 5:00 a.m. tomorrow.. way too early for me.... I do think there are some great deals on line... and there will continue to be given the economy... and I think many retailers want to see black on more days than just friday.
You won't catch me out there! I've done most of our shopping (other than groceries) online for years.
Becky in FL
Steve,
They did that here, too. :)

Steve
I think that I will pass on Black Friday.
Good luck and success.
Lou Ludwig
Lane,
Thought about that, too, but decided to pass. :)
Steve
Joan,
I think that is a fair assessment. :)
Steve
Becky,
More convenient and less wear and tear that way. :)
Steve
Lou,
Probably a lot safer that way. :)
Steve
Hi Steve...for me nothing is worth standing in line for anymore, not with the Internet available 24/7. We have Boxing Day Sales in Canada...it's the Day after Christmas:O))
Fred,
The internet has definitely cut down on trips to the store. :)
Steve
The last place you would ever find me is in line at a store at 5:00 am in the morning on Black Friday!
Didn't do it... just wasn't worth it. Haven't been to a store...
Arashik,
Sounds like a good strategy. Enjoy your shopping. :)
Steve
Douglas,
Then I'll know where not to look for you. :)
Steve
Lane,
From what I hear, it was a real crowd. Didn't leave home either. :)
