Remember in grade school and occasionally in high school English class, the assignment the first day of school was to write, "What I Did On My Summer Vacation"?
I know Texas was very hot this year. I know the Northeast and Midwest were cool and rainy. I know that here in Florida it wasn't as hot and we didn't have any tropical storms.
Regardless, this is the last official weekend of the summer, and as I write this there's only about 90 minutes of daylight left.
Where did the summer go? It definitely went. All those plans. Some happened. Some didn't.
Here's to the summer that is past and the fall that is coming.
So, how was your summer?

Steve.. I was laughing when I read your first paragraph... "occasionally in high school English Class...." You and I are from the OLD SCHOOL. My sons now tell me it is call Language Arts. I wish we could go back to basics.
Steve...
How did you become an Ambassador here on AR. I know I've been out of it lately... but that long?
Valerie,
Oops, it's not English anymore? No wonder kids have trouble communicating. :)

Valerie,
A few weeks ago they announced the new program and asked for applications. :)

Way to short! I relly loved the beautiful long days and the balmy weather we had this year. Got to play lots of tennis, and also, all of our fesivals ( Jazz, Blues, Fiddletunes, Wooden Boat, Rhodie,) were extremely busy with visitors and that is always fun. Good thing I have Halloween to look forward to and ease me into the cool weather. Thanks for asking!
Sandra,
You sure pack a lot into your summer. No wonder you enjoy it so. Happy fall. :)
