Notice recently how it doesn't much matter who we vote for to send to Washington every two years - that they all are about the same after they've been there for a little while? The Republicans may start out a little more conservative, and the Democrats may start out a little more liberal, but after they become Congressionalized, they all vote about the same - and that's against small business.
The two party system that we have now is us and them. That's why they all need to go. Oh, there are some that could stay - they can try their hand again in 2012. For 2010, it got to be a clean sweep. Everyone off the bus. Let some new riders on.

Steve, Come on now, what's the likelihood of something like that ever really happening?
Suesan,
Higher than you think if enough people really meant it. It won't happen completely, but the more we vote out the better chance we stand. :)
Steve
Steve,
I'm with you. We need term limits for those in Congress. There are no independent thinkers any longer. They all vote whatever the party leadership wants because...the party will help to get them re-elected.
Rich
I think we need to get rid of as many as possible. The framers struggled with the lengths of terms, as well as term limits. It is interesting that those that are supposed to represent the people only get two year terms and those representing the states (well, originally at least but not now) got 6 years.
Rich,
Agreed. However, term limits won't happen unless propsed by the states. Congress would never do that on their own. :)
Steve
Mike,
You make some excellent points. When you really look at it, Congress doesn't really have that much to do to use its 17 powers. :)
Steve
Steve, If you get a chance read Glen Beck's book, Common Sense. He has an interesting perspective...
You gotta love Sunday,
Paul
Paul,
Thanks for the tip. Yes, Sunday is great. :)
Steve
I believe there is a fundamental difference between the two parties; when Republicans are in control, a majority of Americans can affect their vote (remember amnesty?). The Democrats will force their socialist agenda down our throats, regardless of what we want, or what the constitution allows for.
Jon,
I agree with that assessment of how they act but they still vote similarly on many issues. :)
Steve
We have to take back our country and they are not going easy. We need to start by voting against all incumbents, although I particuilar like mine and the job he is doing. For the betterment of the country I will vote against him next election.
I want all the bums out and let's start over and see what all new faces can do. No seniority rule all must go. Then we can get term limits in place.
Charles,
I totally agree. Everyone out of the pool. Let someone else play. :)
