400,000 Of Anything Is A Lot

400,000 of anything is a lot - dollars, pennies, nails,  2x4s, or whatever. Applied to Active Rain, 400,000 points is a lot. My account shows that I have accumulated this total. Wow!

This represents so much writing and commenting and connecting with people from all over North America.

Thanks to everyone who has read what I have written, left comments, and encouraged me.

This has been a fantastic journey.

Steve,

Good work. Those of us who toil in the rain are rewarded with points. And sometimes it is a ton of work.

Hi Steve!  Congratulations on reaching the 400K milestone! That number seems very distant to me, I can only imagine the amount of work it took to get here.  Glad you are here, Steve! It's always a pleasure when I make it over to your posts!

Great milestone... but what I really love is the power of Activerain.  So, I met you via Activerain.  We connected on LinkedIn.  Your blog posts appear on my network on LinkedIn.  It turns out we have some mutual friends and colleagues.  One of your St. Louis colleagues is now working on trying to figure out a way to share expenses and bring you to town for a seminar.  I'll send you more details off line.  I love the fact that social networks make the world just a bit more connected.

Ryan,

Thank you.

I concur on the power of AR. This is a fine example of real social networking - not just posting a profile. We actually meet and interact with people here. :)

Steve,

Great job. I thought I was doing well at just turning 100K; you're a blogging nut-case. Again, great job!

Posted by Terry Chenier (Homelife Glenayre Realty) almost 3 years ago

Terry,

You are doing well at 100,000. I remember how I felt when I did it. Nut-case? Thanks - I think. :)
