You're never fully dressed without a smile

I really like this song from the musical "Annie" - "You're never fully dressed without a smile." What a great concept and slogan for salespeople.

We talk about the importance of a smile for conveying friendliness, confidence, and a willingness to help. We talk about how a smile is contagious - that we can give ours to others to help them improve their mood.

But, how often do we talk about or think of putting on a smile as part of our daily wardrobe?

So let's start getting dressed in the morning with a smile and make sure to continue wearing it all day.

Great advice!     By spreading that smile around, we might be making a real difference in the lives of those who receive it.

You're exactly right. It does "show" through the phone (also in email and comments). :)

Steve,

It seems like there are an awful lot of people who do not like show tunes. I like them myself.

Steve,

I tend to like the peppy tunes. They can be quite motivating. :)

Steve:  A smile is something none of us should ever be without.  It is what helps us make those great first impressions and convey a sense of security to clients who may be getting unpleasant news from us.

Absolutely right. Thanks for those great comments. :)

Hi Steve-Putting on a smile should be like putting on shoes and socks. Just something you do. <SMILE>

Posted by Sharon Lee (Sharon Lee's Virtual Assistance) about 3 years ago

Sharon,

Agreed. It is just something we do - maybe consciously at first. :)
