Congress Can Send A Strong Signal To Pakistan

We are facing a budget and spending crisis in this country, and we can easily save billions of dollars a year by ending all foreign aid to Pakistan. Maybe other countries also, but Pakistan for sure.

Osama bin Laden was captured in the largest residential building in the area - just down the street from the Pakistan Military Academy - but no one knew that he was there.

Since 9/11, we have given the government of Pakistan some $20 billion. That can stop now. No more. They are big enough to seek aid from China anyway.

Rep. Allen West of Florida has written Kay Granger, Chair of the House Subcommittee on State, Foreign Operations, and Related Programs, requesting that not one more cent be authorized for Pakistan.

We need to cut government spending anyway, and this seems like the perfect place to start.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, apparently forgetting she is no longer in the Senate, vowed to keep the funding going to Pakistan - that this little episode would not cut off the pipeline. It's not her call, fortunately.

Help Allen West's proposal. Contact your friends in Congress and ask for support of this measure.

The War on Terror is not over, and no truce has been called, simply because we caught the kingpin.
