Job Losses Continue, But Harry Reid Is Happy

The jobs report today showed that another 36,000 Americans had lost their employment in the past month.

Unemploymnet in this country still hovers around the 10% mark or 1 person out of 10, and there is growing concern that this number actually is much higher because so many Americans have dropped out of the job market and stopped looking for work in the short term.

This impacts the number of people availble to purchase homes, but it does provide some opportunities for people to start low-capitalization businesses.

All this being said, Harry Reid gleefully announced on the floor of the Senate today that only 36,000 jobs were lost last month and pronounced it "really good."

And Reid is leading the health care fight and other legislation?

By the way, 7,000 federal jobs were created last month. Good tradeoff, don't you think?
