After a brief run-in with Hanna last night and this morning, she is off to visit the Carolinas. She didn't reveal any of her bluster as she passed by, but she added to our already impressive rain total amounts from Fay and Gustav.
This is one rainy season that is definitely living up to its name. In fact, Lake Okeechobee, the largest fresh water lake in the eastern US outside of Lake Michigan, is (was) up over 5 feet from a year ago and over 3 feet since the rains began. It is now being lowered as more rain continues to pour in from its drainage basin.
Battenb=n down for a wet weekend in the Carolinas and hopefully you won't see much wind. Take care y'all.
