This is a good time to be in the sign business - no, not for the typical signs that businesses want and use. There is still a demand for those signs, and sign businesses will undoubtedly see an uptick in their business as existing businesses expand, ones that have folded need to have new signs in those locations for the businesses taking their place, and just the normal updating and replacement of signs that occur.
The real opportunity for sign businesses is printing and installing signs about the economic recovery. Just think of the thousands of highway miles in this country and all of the existing billboards along the highways. People are crying out for signs that the market is recovering, so let's give them what they want. Let's make up those signs and get them installed - in as many places across this great land as we can.
It's a good time to be in the sign business, and it's a good time to be selling space for those sign companies.
