Seven-letter words have a special place in sales

We learn words at a very early age. Words are important. It’s how we communicate.

In sales, we would literally be out of business without words and our capacity to use them properly.

Interestingly, I have found that 7-letter words – as much or more than any other length word – are at the foundation of many types of sales endeavors – particularly real estate sales.

For instance, success. Kind of stands on its own without a lot of explanation. Who doesn’t want to succeed?

Process is another. We have a sales process and a mortgage process. We process information, as do our customers. We want our customers to be involved in our sales process and to proceed toward a decision first and the closing after that.

By no means exhaustive, pursuit, builder, welcome, confirm, qualify, justify, acquire, results, discuss, ability, crucial, options, choices, urgency, and promise are some other 7-letter sales words. I'll talk about more of these in another post.

However. there are so many good four-letter words that we can use in our everyday conversation, writing, and attitude.

Here are a few: work, love, help, pray, find, sing, care, play, read, walk, sell, hold, give, talk, sure, know, plan, rest, like.

There are many others. Which word is your favorite four-letter variety?
