Florida Increases Its Electoral Clout

Now that the Census results are in, Florida will gain 2 House seats, giving it 27 and 29 total Electoral Collage Votes (adding in the Senators). This ties it with New York. California remains the largest state in terms of its Congressional delegation, but it adds no new seats this time.

Texas adds 4 seats to be the new second biggest state, and Florida and New York are tied for third.

Guess where the presidential candidate in 2012 are going to be spending a lot of their time?

Let's hope that conservative minds prevail in drawing the new district boundaries and that we can attract people from those new districts who appreciate the value of the Constitution and want to serve it rather than themselves - in Florida as well as around the country.
