We've already had this debate - brought to the front burner with the capricious firing of Juan Williams. Many people likely were unaware that the US Congress, using our tax dollars, funds a portion of NPR. Probably thought that "National Public Radio" was just the name they came up with way back when and that it wasn't really public in the sense of receiving tax dollars.
Well. the House agrees with America and voted to cut off funding. The President thinks it should stay. Guess he really didn't mean that part about everything being on the table and that we would have to look at making cuts in all areas.
We are going broke faster and faster each day. All frivolous spending needs to be cut immediately. No debate. Just do it. If it can't be justified, really justified, it needs to go.
