I Love Your Photo

Why do so many real estate agents (Realtors and non-Realtors) put their photos on their business cards? To make it easier for people to connect with them. To provide a friendly face to go along with a possible business realtionship.

Why do all of the online social site profiles call for and allow a profile photo? Same reason. To make it easier to connect with people. To make the sites more persoanable and relational.

That said, take a look at a photo that I run into online several times a week:

Witness protection Photo

I call this the "Witness Protection Photo!"

What can we say about this photo? I like what you've done to your hair? Nice pose? Great look?

All we can say is that the profile is incomplete and a turnoff to anyone looking to connect unless they already know this person.

With digital photography being what it is, there's no reason a photo can't be taken and uploaded inside of a couple of minutes. Don't like it? Take another and post the new one.

I'd really like to say "love your photo," but I need a photo to look at first.
