Remember the movie "Groundhog Day" with Bill Murray? He keeps repeating February 2nd until he gets it right.
At first, he is irritated by the prospects of repeating the same day continuously until he realizes that he can use it to his advantage. He decided to test out ideas and learn things throughout the day that will enhance his performance the next day when he relives the same day again - only this time with a little more information that he had the previous day.
While this is an entertaining movie, the message is that we need to build upon the lessons of each day and use them the next day or we run the risk of tomorrow being a repeat performance of today. What can we consciously take away from today to do tomorrow that will make tomorrow a better and more productive day than today?
We don't need tomorrow to be just a mirror image of today.
