Overcast Skies Can Clear

This morning, the skies were completely overcast. It began to get brighter and then went back to the gray. This repeated several times. Now, it is clearing and is a beautiful sunny day.

How many times in our lives do we face something gloomy and allow that to "cloud" our thinking and feel that the sun is not going to come back out for us?

Today is proof that the sun can come out even when it appears extremely unlikely.

Ready for some good news?

Need to hear some good news? Well, here's a little for mid-day on Tuesday. First, the Fed made no changes today - interest rates remained as they have been. Second, the Dow is way up - almost 300 points as of right now. Third, oil is down over $2.00 a barrel right now - making it below $120 again (it was there yesterday before closing at $121). Fourth, I'm seeing new home sales with some of my builders. Yeah!

Today

Today. It has a good sound to it. It's full of promise, plenty of it lies ahead. Forget yesterday. Don't worry about tomorrow - but rejoice in the fact that there might be another "today" given to us then.

It is God's gift to us for this moment. Let's enjoy it. Let's use it. Let's be thankful. Let's make a difference to those around us - our customers, associates, family, friends, and total strangers.

We can each do great things today.

Yesterday was the first day of summer - officially. Summer is supposed be a more relaxed, even-paced time. Let's kick back and take things in stride. Less stress. We are in a fantastic business. Let's have some fun.
