Looking at a thick forest with too many trees to count and more that we can name - especially in black and white rather than the color we're accustomed to - let's us use our imagination to interpret the scene based on our experiences and the light patterns. We have to work a little harder since the colors are not clearly defined, and it's a good exercies for our imagination.

Today kicks off what I have dubbed the "Summer Selling Season." There are no more holidays or days off until Labor Day. That's 63 uninterrupted selling days, starting today.

Just think of the opportunities. This is one of the best selling times of the year, and it happens each year at this time.

The only interruptions or distraction for people during this time are back to school and the start of football season, and possibly family vacations. Otherwise, we have one of the best opportunities of the year to make sales.

It's past the spring so people aren't thinking about planting and getting out of the house from the winter. It's far enough away from Halloween, Thanksgiving, and the end of year holidays.

This is the perfect time to focus on sales - and we have over 2 full months to do it. 

Welcome to the "Summer Selling Season." Make it a great one!

On this Independence Day weekend, what stronger motivation could we have for protecting the liberties and freedoms that we enjoy and for maintaining them for our families and future generations than to look upon Old Glory and really understand our destiny?

If we were to study this tree and ask which leaf is the most important, we couldn't answer because all are important. All support the tree, all provide shade, all change color in the fall. The point is that all of them are important.

Look at the beauty and the detail in these very tiny (smaller than a normal shirt buttion) wildflowers - weeds, actually. If something this small and easily overlooked can be this pretty, think of the impact we can have.

Flag Day is observed each June 14th, but Flag Day is everyday. We remember our freedoms and our liberties - and give thanks for them - everyday. We get to participate in free enterprise - everyday. Old Glory represents so much. America is worth preserving! It's up to us.

Just look at how these palm trees bend and extend for their full height - standing taller than anything around them. They look like they are stretching to reach for it all.

This is a special tribute to a powerful, inspirational man who left us Friday at the age of 99. Coach John Wooden is certainly known for his accomplishments on the basketball floor, but to those who knew him, he was even more appreciated for what he could do for people.

Here are a few of my favorite quotes from Coach for "Motivational Monday" -
