A lot of newscasters and water cooler pundits like to talk about the market slowdown. Congress loves to throw money at it.
Depending on where you live and your general outlook on life and business, your market may be slow or just kind of treading water. But then it might even be showing nice steady growth.
We have an opportunity to show people that their market - the economy - is not as dreary as they have heard or that they might like to think. News programs abound where economists, big business types, and financial analysts all use the "r" word (I won't) and predict dire times for several months.
There's an old saying that the world enjoys working with someone who is enthusiastic, confident, and optimistic. So, why not have that person be you, and why not make a name for yourself in your market while others are having a pity party or finding reasons not to be successful?
Put a bounce in your step - business-wise. Adopt a can-do attitude. Show people how to list their home correctly and buy another one. Get creative. Be imaginative. Do what your competitors won't do.
There are sales being made in every market in this country. The only question is whether you want to participate in the process or be a spectator.
I think you can be a major player in your market. Show consumers and other agents what a determined spirit can do. Put the pressure on.
