It's interesting how many people build in extra time around a holiday.
Tomorrow is the 4th of July - a holiday many of us observe by taking a day off from work or going to the office.
But then, there's the preparatory and recovery days that stretch the holiday into several additional ones or downtime.
Most people who are in the office today are more focused on tomorrow and the long weekend than they are on today - probably slide out early anyway, maybe after a long lunch. Maybe already gone. Some even started getting ready for today's anticipation of tomorrow yesterday.
Then, there's Monday or possibly Tuesday. That means catching up with each other on what happened over the weekend - even more than on a typical Monday. It also means a little slower getting "back-in-thre-groove" after the exrtra respite.
All in all, one holiday has a way of stretching into much more time off or non-productive time.
