Last Thursday, you may recall that President Obama was entertaining Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at the White House when Obama apparently didn't like how the meeting was going and rudely got up and left Netanyahu to consider the President's demands. He went to eat. No State Dinner, no press conference. Nothing but intimidation and the cold shoulder.
Fast forward to today. French President Nicolas Sarkozy is at the White House. He and Obama had a discussion. They went out for lunch. They are having a televised joint press conference, and that will be followed by a State Dinner.
Something is drastically wrong with this picture.
