Two weeks ago, Pasquinelli Homebuilding LLC, a fixture in seven states, called it quits with a Chapter 7 liquidation filing, and now Maronda Homes is being forced by its creditors into Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
There are no details in the Maronda case except the filing.
Many home builders are holding their own, some are actually experiencing good sales, many are finding the going quite tough.
Many building companies have gone out of business in the past couple of years - even very large ones.
Support your local homebuilders when you can - they provide jobs as well as homes.
