Two weeks ago, we had a home show in the Convention Center that reported 9,000 attendees over the 3 days - don't know how that measures up to expectations but sounds like a decent number. The show was free to enter, but parking was $5 and $10 (for valet). Of course there were the compulsory cooking demonstrations, but bedding, kitchens, baths, landscaping, and other wares were represented also.
At the end of this month - October 28-30 - at the Expo Center at the South Florida Fairgrounds, there is a different home show run by different folks. This time admission is free and so is the parking. The exhibitors are even offered free setup and takedown.
Isn't competition wonderful?
