Florida Gives Obamacare A One-Two Punch

Florida is fighting back against the unconsitutional HR 3590, otherwise known as Health Care Reform, otherwise known as Obamacare.

First, Florida Attorney General Bill McCollum lead the way as the first AG to file suit in federal courst against this. On it's face, it is a clear violation of the 10th Amendment because the Constitution (Article I, Section 8) says nothing about health care or mandating citizens to subscribe to a government program of any kind. Therefore, it belong to the province of the States.

And don't give me this "living document" business because the Constituion is very specific on what Congeress can and cannot do. This is one thing it cannot do. And save the interstate commerce argument becasue Congress specifically ignored discussing making health care availble across State lines.

Second, the Florida legislature has a pproved a proposed State Constitutional Amendment for Novemeber that lets Florida opt-out of this health care bill if 60% of the voters approve it.

Way to go Florida with a one-two punch.
